Thomas J. Yob, 68, of Greenwich Twp, passed away on Tuesday evening, September 26, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born August 1, 1949 in Fountain Hill, PA, he was the son of the late Harold A. and Pauline E. (Berger) Yob. He and his wife of 45 years, Mary Ann (Readinger) Yob, were married on April 8, 1972 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fleetwood.
Tom was a truck driver for over 42 years working for Maier's Bakery, Weston Bakery and Bimbo Bakeries. He had also worked for East Penn Manufacturing Company.
Tom was a member of St. John's UCC Church, Kutztown and a 1968 graduate of Fleetwood High School. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, tractors and spending time with his family.
Tom served his country honorably and faithfully as a Specialist in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife, Mary Ann, Tom is survived by his three sons, Michael T. Yob, husband of Leila A. (Azar) Yob, Kutztown, Matthew T. Yob, husband of Tiffany S. (Diaz) Yob, Temple and Mark T. Yob, Bernville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dylan, McKenna, Hailey, Kelsey, Ethan and Ashleigh and by his brothers and sisters, Harold A. Yob Jr., husband of Joann Yob, New Smithville, Emma Adam, Kutztown, Naomi Bailey, Walnuttown, Mary Ann McCarthy, Fred Yob, husband of Deborah Yob, Fleetwood, Robert Yob, Temple, Susan Yob and Glenn Yob.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, with Rev. John Folk officiating. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Twp.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
