Daniel A. Hess, 75, of Laureldale, passed away on Sunday evening, July 31, 2022 at Promedica, Laureldale.
Born April 1, 1947 in Reading, he was the son of the late Alfred J. and Lulu M. (Manmiller) Hess.
Daniel served his country honorably and faithfully as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Daniel worked as an equipment operator for Schlouch Excavating and also worked for W.E. Yoder, Inc., Kutztown and the ATV Bakery where he was a baker. He was a member of the Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion, Topton and attended Fleetwood School District. Daniel enjoyed playing pool and watching the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.
Daniel is survived by his Sister, Evelyn M. (Hess) Kline, wife of Barry L. Kline, Fleetwood, and his brothers, Ronald P. Hess, Sr., Kutztown, Walter J. Hess, husband of Jessie J. (Siegfried) Hess, Kutztown and Robert A. Hess, husband of Kim (DeLong) Hess, Coeur d Alene, Idaho. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
Services for Daniel will be private with Military Honors provided by the United States Army. Burial will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Daniel's honor to the Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion Honor Guard, 133 Centre Ave, Topton, PA 19562.
