Albert E. "Bud" Houck Sr.

Albert E. "Bud" Houck, Sr., 71, of Honey Brook, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Paoli Hospital, Paoli, PA.

Born April 17, 1953 in Munich, Germany, Bud was the son of the late Francis D. and Edna R. (Irion) Houck. He and the love of his life, his wife Joyce E. (Houston) Houck, were married in Ridley Park, PA on June 17, 1972.

Bud served his country honorably and faithfully for 20 years in the in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Technical Sergeant in 1994.

Bud was a 1971 graduate of Ridley High School and spent many years volunteering as a firefighter and fire policeman for the West Bradford Fire Company, Station 39. He also volunteered as a Jaycee during his time in Virginia, and loved fishing, hunting, NASCAR, and especially, his Philadelpiha Eagles.

In addition to his wife, Joyce, Bud is survived by his children, Laurie E. (Houck) Myers, wife of Jason O. Myers, Honey Brook, Albert E. "Bud" Houck, Jr., widower of Christina E. (D'Ottavio) Houck, Van Alstyne, Texas, and Katie L. (Houck) Smith, Honey Brook. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Daniel, Korynne, Christian, Brianna, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Haley, Tyler and Ryan, his two great-grandsons on the way, his brother, Francis D. Houck, husband of Barbara Houck, Coatesville, his sisters, Carol Bicking, widow of Barry Bicking, Coatesville, and Beverly Marschlowitz, wife of Walt Marschlowitz, Wilmington, Delaware, and by many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services for Bud will be announced soon. Inurnment will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
