Aleida Ortiz

Aleida Ortiz, 45, of West Lawn, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Tower Health, Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.

Born January 26, 1976 in Hoboken, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Concepcion Ortiz, Lakeland, FL and the late Carmen (Alvarez) Baez.

Aleida spent many years working for Ross, Dollar Tree, Elite Sportswear and Arby's. She attended Reading High School and enjoyed shopping, music and singing out loud. Most of all, she adored her family.

Aleida is survived by her children, Jose A. Ortiz, West Lawn, Amy M. (Ortiz) Miller, wife of William M. Miller, Blandon, Jaylyn M. Vives, West Lawn, Marcus A. Vives, West Lawn and Jayden A. Vives, West Lawn. She is also survived by a grandchild on the way, and her sisters, Xiomara Perez, wife of Reinardo Perez, Jr., Reading, Angelica Rodriguez, wife of Joseph Rodriguez, Wyomissing and Natalie Baez-Alvarez, Reading.

In addition to her Mom, Aleida was preceded in death by her son, Elvin Vives and by her granddaughter, Amyah Maree Dawkins.

Funeral Services for Aleida will be private. Burial will take place in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton, near her Mom.
