Mrs. Barbara A. (Miller) Moyer

Mrs. Barbara A. (Miller) Moyer, 79, of Lenhartsville, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, PA.

Born December 15, 1943 in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Harry R. and Lottie C. (Gruber) Miller. Her husband of 43 years, Paul L. Moyer, passed away on August 23, 2007.

Barbara owned and operated her own salon, the Barbara Ann Moyer Beauty Salon, for 20 years in New Smithville, doing hair, manicures and facials. She also worked for Ray Moyer's Beauty Salon, Fogelsville, Lesher's Country Store, Lenhartsville and for Cindy Seifert at her salon.

Barbara was active with her church, Salem Bible Church, Macungie, where she was involved with the prayer chain and worked in the nursery. She also volunteered at Gateway Christian School for 12 years. Barbara attended Northwestern Lehigh High School and the Allentown School of Cosmetology. She loved flowers, spending time outdoors, hiking, reading, hallmark movies and dancing.

For Barbara, family was first, always jumping to help whenever needed. She was loved by all she knew. Barbara was a great listener, encourager and loved to call friends and family to brighten their days and pray for them. Her biggest love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent lots of time with them and you would often hear her talking about them and showing pictures. Barbara loved to plant flowers and take care of them. She often had people stop by just to tell her how beautiful they were.

Barbara is survived by her three children, Kimberley S. (Moyer) Huber, Fleetwood, Karen M. (Moyer) Settle, wife of Mark W. Settle, Jr., Mertztown, and Daniel H. Moyer, husband of Kristi B. (Palm) Moyer, Shoemakersville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Samantha, Amanda, Jacob and Michael, and by her great-grandchildren, Savannah, Jameson and Jackson.

In addition to her husband, Paul, and her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her grandson, Zachary P. Huber.

Funeral Services for Barbara will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 11:00 am at Salem Bible Church, 8031 Salem Bible Church Road, Macungie, PA, with Pastor Kevin Schultz officiating. A viewing will be held at the church, Saturday, from 10:00 am until time of services.

In addition to flowers, which Barbara loved so much, donations may be made in her memory to the Zach Strong Foundation, 139 E. Cedar St, Fleetwood, PA 19522.

Private Burial will take place in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, Grimville.
