Mrs. Bernice B. (Nester) DeBeck

Mrs. Bernice B. (Nester) DeBeck, 97, formerly of Kutztown, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Berks Heim Nursing Home.

Born April 7, 1924 in Kutztown, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Hilda (Sensenderfer) Nester. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Paul Bock in 1959 and Theodore H. DeBeck in 1998.

Bernice was a 1942 graduate of Reading High School. She worked as a supervisor and bookkeeper for Nester's Janitorial, Mohnton and was a member of the former Epiphany Lutheran Church where she was active with the altar guild for many years. She enjoyed doing cross stitch.

Bernice is survived by her son, Timothy P. Bock, husband of Anne B. (Prince) Bock, Slatington, her granddaughter, Jodie L. (Bock) LaBelle, wife of Christopher LaBelle, Rushsylvania, OH, her great-grandchildren, Anya, Kaitlyn, Alan and Noah, and by her great-great grandchildren, Cyrus, Briar, Olivia, McKenzie and Obadiah.

Along with her parents and her two husbands, she was preceded in death by her 12 brothers and sisters.

Services for Bernice will be private. Burial will take place in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown.
