Mrs. Betty M. (Kohl) Weik, 98, of Wernersville, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Tower Health, Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.

Born January 11, 1926 in Grill, Betty was the daughter of the late Edward and Ellen (Weitzel) Kohl. Her husband of 48 years, Stuart V. Weik, passed away on June 3, 1993.

Betty worked for 25 years as a layout operator at Western Electric, Laureldale. She also worked for 10 years in housekeeping at the Reading Rehabilitation Hospital. Betty was a member of the Allegheny Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mohnton, the Mohnton Seniors, and the Earl Eshelman Memorial VFW Post 9045, Mohnton.

Betty attended Mohnton High School, and truly enjoyed crotcheting, word puzzles, needlepoint, and going golfing with her sister, Shirley.

Betty is survived by her five children, Carol A. Weik, Bern Township, Cheryl B. (Weik) Dietrich, wife of William Dietrich, Sinking Spring, Sandra L. (Weik) Rittenhouse, Mohnton, Thomas E. Weik, husband of Susan R. (Scholl) Weik, Spring Township, and Bette J. (Weik) Brendle, wife of Lonnie T. Brendle, Cumru Township. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Barry, Eric, Jessica, Aaron, Courtney, Sarah, and Lyndsey, her 22 great-grandchildren, and by her 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and her husband, Stuart, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Gary S. Weik, her brother, Paul Kohl, and by her sisters, Caroline Lutz and Shirley Moyer.

Private services for Betty will be held by her family. Burial will take place in Gouglersville Cemetery, Mohnton.
