Bonita C. (Kurtz) Solorio

Bonita C. (Kurtz) Solorio, 68, of Topton, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Penn State Health, St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township, PA.

Born March 19, 1955, in West Reading, Bonnie was the daughter of Shirley I. (Burkert) Kurtz, West Grove, PA, and the late Melvin G. Kurtz.

Bonnie worked as program coordinator in mental health for Apis Management, Exeter, for 19 years. She also worked at Giorgio Foods, R.M. Palmer Chocolate Company, and as a private caretaker. Bonnie was a past member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Reading, and attended Mohawk High School, Columbus, Ohio. She truly enjoyed reading, playing games, especially bingo, shopping and traveling.

In addition to her mother, Shirley, Bonnie is survived by her brothers Keith and his wife, Lisa, Jeff and his wife Mary Ann, and Kevin and his wife Shanna. She is also survived by her sisters, Melody, Patricia, and Theresa, and by her aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Along with her father, Bonnie was preceded in death by her two children, Jaime Cruz and Krissel Cruz, her stepfather, Theodore Cramner, and her sister, Carol.

Funeral Services for Bonnie will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 10:30 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Road, Fleetwood. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral services on Saturday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the funeral home.

Burial will take place privately in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
