Bruce A. Ray

Bruce A. Ray, 62, of Exeter Township, passed away on Thursday morning, October 17, 2024 at Tower Health, Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.

Born November 20, 1961 in Lansing, Michigan, Bruce was the son of Bud Ray, Exeter Twp, and the late Geraldine A. (Huff) Ray. He and his wife, Teri M. (Hojnowski) Ray, spent the last 21 years together and were married in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 26, 2012.

Bruce worked at East Penn Manufacturing Company, Inc., Lyons, for the last 38 years. He worked in several locations including the Lyons plant as well as A4 on the finishing line. Bruce was a graduate of Mount Penn High School.

Bruce truly loved his Detroit Lions. He was a lifelong fan and enjoyed special memories of the Lions over the years with his friends and family. He enjoyed traveling with Teri, spending time with their friends enjoying life. He was loved making beef jerky in his smoker, and most of all, cherished his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Teri, and his father, Bud, Bruce is survived by his two sons, Joshua A. Ray, husband of Jennifer Ray, Oceanside, California, and Nathan A. Ray, also of California, his grandchildren, Austin, Taylor, Hailey, Hayden, Payton and Alex, his sisters, Colleen Vallonio, wife of Michael Vallonio, Exeter Twp, and Michele Lill, wife of Michael Lill, Exeter Twp, his foster brother, Albert Ray, Shillington, and by his many nieces and nephews.

Along with his mother, Bruce was preceded in death by his siblings, Wendy Jo Grobel, Todd Ray, Mark Ray, Michael Ray, and Deanna Reber.

Memorial Services for Bruce will be held on Tuesday evening, October 22, 2024 at 7:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Road, Fleetwood. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bruce's memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
