Cleveland E.D. "Buddy" Blank Jr., 75, of Topton, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, PA.
Born March 31, 1949, in Allentown, Buddy was the son of the late Marilyn A. (Showalter) and Cleveland E.D. Blank, Sr. He and the love of his life, his wife of 55 years, Laura A. "Sue" (Reinert) Blank, were married on April 26, 1969, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mertztown.
Buddy attended Kutztown High School and went on to work at Wenton Shoe Factory, Kutztown, and Electro-Space Fabricators, Topton. He then began his 54 year career with Atlas Minerals & Chemicals, Inc., Mertztown, where he worked in asphalt production.
Buddy was a member of the Mertztown Rod & Gun Club, the Alburtis Rod & Gun Club, and the Ray A. Master, Post 217, American Legion, Topton. He was also a member at many other gun clubs and legion posts. Buddy loved hunting, fishing, NASCAR and his Philadelphia sports teams.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Sue, are his son, David J. Blank, husband of Jessica S. (Infield) Blank, Kutztown, his grandchildren, Addison J. Blank and Bowen C. Blank, his brother, Morris (Mike) Blank, Arlington, VA, his sister, Patty Blank, Dillon, Colorado, and by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services for Buddy will be held privately by his family.
