Darryl H. Adam, 69, of Mertztown, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, PA.

Born September 29, 1953 in West Reading, he was the son of the late Harvey J. and Dorothy H. (Dietrich) Adam. He and the love of his life, his wife of 44 years, Barbara K. (Kunkel) Adam, were married on June 10, 1978 at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Krumsville.

Darryl worked for many years in maintenance and as an electrician for East Penn Manufacturing Co, Inc. Darryl's love of hunting led to his next adventure, owning and operating Adam's Taxidermy for over 35 years.

Darryl was a 1971 graduate of Fleetwood Area High School and was a member of the first class to graduate from the new Vo-Tech school in Oley. He was a member of Grace Church, Kutztown, where he was a past elder, active in the men's group and Promise Keepers, enjoyed the Thursday night prayer group and helped with the Sportsman's Dinner for several years. Darryl loved hunting, fishing, trapping, arrowhead hunting and collecting other Indian artifacts. Most of all, Darryl adored his family and cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Barb, are his three children, Christopher L. Adam, husband of Jennifer L. (Seifrit) Adam, Mertztown, Joy N. (Adam) Wise, wife of Jonathan E. Wise, Temple, and Abby L. (Adam) Irizarry, wife of Jonathan Irizarry, Mertztown. Darryl is also survived by his grandchildren, Emily, Clayton, Jackson, Evelynn, Hattie, Colton and one baby grandson on the way, by his sister, Janet D. (Adam) Tiderman, wife of Reginald A. Tiderman, Muhlenberg, and by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with his parents, Darryl was preceded in death by his brother in infancy.
