David C. Brown

David C. Brown, 69, of Shoemakersville, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Tower Health, Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.

Born October 31, 1954, in Reading, he was the son of the late Carl Chester and Olga (Kear) Brown. He and the love of his life, his wife, Rose M. (Snyder) Brown, were married on June 15, 1996.

Dave worked as an electronics technician for Cryovac Sealed Air Corporation, Reading, and for Lucent Technologies, Terre Hill, PA. He also worked as a carpenter and estimator for Reading Contracting. Dave was a 1974 graduate of Reading High School and a graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute.

Dave was a member of the Hyner Hang Gliding Club, a passion of his for 45 years. He was also a member of the APA Pool League and loved shooting pool, hang gliding and woodworking.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Rose, are his sisters, Linda (Brown) Kauffman, wife of Donald Kauffman, Halifax, PA, and Deborah (Brown) Gallagher, Reading, and several nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Along with his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Brown.

A viewing followed by a time of sharing will be held for Dave on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. Burial will take place in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter.
