Dennis H. Bertatie

Dennis H. Bertatie, 71, of Boyertown, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 6, 2022 at his home.

Born December 1, 1950 in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Harry and Doris (Kappenstein) Bertatie. Dennis and the love of his life, his wife of 45 years, Patricia J. (Shade) Bertatie, were married on September 25, 1976 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boyertown.

Dennis worked for 35 years for Dana Corporation as a machinist, retiring in 2007. He was a 1968 graduate of Owen J. Roberts and an avid fisherman. He loved to build and create wooden sculptures. He would spend a lot of time watching his grandchildren play the sports they love. Everyone knew and loved to hear "Pop Pop" cheer them on at the sport they loved, especially his 9.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Pat, are his daughters, Chris Miller, Gilbertsville, and Stacy Keys, wife of Matt Keys, Enola. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Reid, Cady and Kolton, his fur grandbabies, Louis and Slate, his sisters, Linda Long, wife of Earl Long, Reading and Shellie Houck, wife of William "Mooch" Houck, Boyertown, his brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Alan Shade, husband of Debbie Shade, Boyertown, Vicki Shade, Boyertown and Sandy Shade, widow of Dennis Shade, Boyertown, and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Along with his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his sister Carol Rinewalt and her husband Dennis Rinewalt.

A visitation will be held for Dennis on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood.
