Mrs. Doreen A. Boyer

Mrs. Doreen A. (Karver) Boyer, 65, of Kutztown, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, in the loving arms of her husband, at the Lutheran Home at Topton.

Born February 3, 1956 in Sellersville, she was the daughter of the late Jonas and Anna May (Medvetz) Karver. She and her husband, Donald C. Boyer, were married on March 11, 2006 at the Inn at Moselem Springs.

Doreen worked for 20 years as a paralegal for the United States District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Allentown. During her teenage years, she had also worked for the Candlewyck Inn, Green Lane.

Doreen was a member of the National Association of Legal Secretaries and a longtime member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fleetwood, where she enjoyed taking part in the God's Word Blesses Us bible study, and helping prepare lectors for weekly worship. She also volunteered, through her church, helping with the Fleetwood Community Bus.

Doreen was a 1974 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and went on to receive her associates degree in paralegal form the Central Pennsylvania Business School. She loved gardening, crafting, homemade Christmas cards and enjoyed amateur radio activities.

In addition to her husband Donald, Doreen is survived by her sister, Carol L. (Karver) Schultz, wife of Jeffrey L. Schultz, Palm, PA, her nieces, Tina A. Snyder, wife of Joey L. Snyder, Barto and Heather J. Hollman, Clearwater, FL and by her great nieces and nephews, Dakota, Maci, Olivia, Tyler and Ethan.

A Memorial Service will be held for Doreen on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 2:30 pm at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 117 E. Arch, St., Fleetwood, PA. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at the church.

Donald and Doreen's family would like to offer a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the Lutheran Home at Topton and Lehigh Valley Hospice for the love and care of Doreen during her time of illness and passing.
