Dorothy H. Hartman

Dorothy H. (Rader) Hartman, 76, of Muhlenberg Twp, passed away on Wednesday morning, August 9, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born February 9, 1941 in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Raymond F. and Ethel (Reinohle) Rader. She and her husband of 34 years, Gary F. Hartman Sr., were married on December 17, 1982 at Spies Church, Alsace Twp.

Dorothy worked as a Deli Manager at Weis Markets, Spring Twp. Previously she had worked in dietary at St. Joseph's Medical Center and as a sewing machine operator for Letisse, Inc., Reading. She enjoyed crocheting and reading, but most of all, loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Gary, Dorothy is survived by her children, Michelle M. (Lott) Barnes, wife of Robert Barnes, Connecticut, Stephanie A. (Lott) Hart, wife of David Hart, Parkton, NC, Christal L. (Lott) Nordsick, fiancAC.e of James W. Weber, Muhlenberg Twp, Michele S. (Hartman) Braun, fiancAC.e of Chuck Reiff, Leesport and Gary F. Hartman, Jr., Mohnton. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Jacob B. Nordsick, Sr., Lancaster, her grandchildren, Nicole, Christopher, Nathan, Randi Marie, Lori Anne, Michael, Wynter, Ashley, Christine, David, Brianna, Jacob Jr., Paris, Laura and Lauren, her 15 great grandchildren and her brothers and sisters, Joyce Conheil, Middletown, Rae Fowler, Millsboro, DE, June Williams, Lancaster and Norman Rader, Lebanon.

Along with her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her siblings, Raymond Rader, Paul Rader, Betty Snyder, Ethel Lape and Patricia Rudy.

Dorothy's family would like to especially thank the staff from Heartland Hospice for the care and compassion they gave to Dorothy.

Graveside funeral services will be held for Dorothy on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Road, Fleetwood.
