Edmund Boniscavage, 57, of Kutztown, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born February 1, 1959 in Pottsville, he was the son of Eva (Billie) Boniscavage, Frackville and the late Edmund W. Boniscavage. He and his wife of 34 years, Charlene J. (Gilfert) Boniscavage, were married on November 21, 1981 in Frackville.
Ed was an electrician and had worked for Carpenter Technology, Reading for 23 years and Zapata Industries, Frackville for 10 years. He attended St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown and was a member of Kutztown Fire Company, Shoemakersville Fire Company and the Kutztown Rod and Gun Club. Ed was a 1976 graduate of North Schuylkill High School. He also graduated from Williamsport Area Community College with a degree in Electrical Construction and from Penn State University, Schuylkill Campus with degrees in Electrical Engineering Technology and Microcomputer Technology.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Charlene and his mom, Eva are three children, Jason C. Boniscavage, husband of Sarah E. (Herman) Boniscavage, Auburn, PA, and his two daughters, Elyse J. Boniscavage and Michelle L. Boniscavage, both at home. Ed is also survived by his grandson, Oliver J. Boniscavage, his brother Daniel Boniscavage, Phoenixville and his sister, Andrea (Boniscavage) Buchanan, wife of Gary Buchanan, Frackville.
Along with his father, Ed was preceded in death by his brother David Boniscavage.
Funeral Services for Ed will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, PA, with Rev. Monsignor Walter T. Scheaffer officiating. Burial will follow in Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights, PA. Viewings will be held for Ed on Thursday, July 7th, from 6 to 8 pm and again on Friday, July 8th from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home. A prayer service will also be held on Thursday evening at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ed's memory to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr, Tampa, FL 33607.
