Mrs. Elizabeth C. Adams

Mrs. Elizabeth C. (Bucks) Adams, 79, of Shoemakersville, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at Willow Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kutztown.

Born December 7, 1943 in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Vanetta (Newman) Bucks. Her husband of 61 years, Ronald W. Adams, passed away on October 8, 2022.

Elizabeth spent many years as a homemaker and helping on the family farm and was trained as an LPN. She also worked in the deli at Surefine Grocery Store, Shoemakersville, and at Intel's Sandwich Shop, Shoemakersville.

Elizabeth was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Fredericksburg and a 1962 graduate of Reading High School. She loved writing, listening to music, watching scary movies, quoting scriptures and her animals, especially the llamas and guinea pigs.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Gretchen E. Adams, companion of David L. LeKites, Wyomissing, Lorrie C. Weinhold, wife of Martin K. Weinhold, Fleetwood, Erica B. Grumbine, wife of Clark A. Grumbine, Jonestown, Heather A. Gladwell, Jonestown and Tabitha A. Crockett, companion of David A. Kehm, Shoemakersville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, Catherine, Kyle, Joey, Christopher, Mckenzie and Julia, and by her great-grandchildren, Lily, Parker, Cooper, Noah and Isaiah.

In addition to her husband, Ronald, and her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia A. Dix.

A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 12:00 pm at St. John's Gernant's Church, Social Hall, 13 Gernant's Church Road, Leesport. Burial will be held privately in St. John's Gernant's Cemetery, Leesport.
