Ethel D. "Snook" Runkle

Ethel D. "Snook" (Bair) Runkle, 87, of Frackville, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Broad Manor Nursing Home, Frackville.

Born February 20, 1930 in Auburn, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alva and Dorothy (Brinich) Bair.

Ethel worked as an Assistant Manager at Pennsylvania National Bank, Auburn. She had also worked as an executive assistant at Bound Brook Bearing Company, Auburn and Ryan Insurance, Pottsville. She was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Auburn and had attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. She enjoyed reading and knitting.

Ethel graduated from Auburn High School and then attended McCann Business School, Pottsville.

Ethel is survived by her two sons, Robert L. Runkle, Jr., husband of Lorna M. (Morte) Runkle, Clark, NJ and Keith J. Runkle, husband of Catherine (Gulden) Runkle, Lenhartsville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph M. Runkle, Patrick M. Runkle, Ian A. Runkle, husband of Hilarie (Condrack) Runkle, Kimberly A. (Runkle) Osborne, wife of John Osborne, and Brittany L. (Runkle) Russo, wife of Michael Russo, her great granddaughters Mackayla and Alexandra and by her sister, Joann "Mick" (Bair) Dalton, wife of William Dalton, Orwigsburg, PA.

In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her grandson, Jared J. Runkle.

Funeral Services for Ethel will be private. Burial will take place in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven, PA.
