Frederick F. Underkofler

Frederick F. Underkofler, 87, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Tuesday morning, February 4, 2025.

Born May 9, 1937 in Reading, Fred was the son of the late Francis F. and Sarah (Fritz) Underkofler. His wife, Dolores Mae (Steffie) Underkofler, passed away on November 2, 2020.

Fred served his country honorably and faithfully in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

Fred owned and operated Undy's Garage, Fleetwood, for many years. After selling his garage, he went on to work for Pollock Metals, Reading for several years and also worked at Branch Motors, Reading. Fred graduated in 1955 from Daniel Boone High School and truly enjoyed his work on cars and his towing business.

Fred is survived by his two sons, Donald W. Underkofler, Fleetwood, and Freddie F. Underkofler, Sinking Spring. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kelsie (Underkofler) Woods, wife of Jake Woods, Blandon, and Connor Underkofler, Lancaster.

Along with his parents and his wife, Dolores, Fred was preceded in death by his son, Richard Steffie, and by his granddaughter, Brandy Lash.

Services for Fred will be held privately by his family.
