Mrs. Gerd (Olsen) Carlson

Gerd (Olsen) Carlson, 84, of Fleetwood, formerly of Belle Mead, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the Lutheran Home at Topton.

Born July 6, 1937 in Holmestrand, Norway, she was the daughter of the late Einar and Bergliot (Berquist) Olsen. She was the widow of Alden Carlson.

Gerd worked as a receptionist for M & T Chemicals, Rahway, New Jersey. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Fords, New Jersey and also a member of the Sons of Norway.

Gerd is survived by her children, David Mason, widower of Susan Mason, Wyomissing, James Mason, husband of Jacqueline Mason, Carlisle, Mark Mason, husband of Sharon Mason, Piscataway, New Jersey and Lisa Olexsa, wife of Paul Olexsa, Fleetwood. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tommy, James Dean, Jessica and her husband, Rafe, Bruce and his wife, Celine, Russell and his wife, Sadie, James, Paul Jr. and Nicolas, and by her great-grandchildren, Alissa, Zachary, Luke, Elsie Mae, Alden, Ruthann, James River, and Paisley. She is also survived by Alden's sons, Eric Carlson, husband of Lynn Carlson, and Jeffrey Carlson, husband of Lori Carlson, and their children, Gunna and Claudia.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Stansen.

Memorial Services for Gerd will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 28 S. 4th Street, Fords, New Jersey.
