Mrs. Irene M. (Reinert) Stern

Irene M. (Reinert) Stern, 67, of Fleetwood, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Penn State Health, St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.

Born April 15, 1954 in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mae (Scheirer) Reinert. Her husband of 35 years, Charles E. Stern, passed away on March 8, 2015.

Irene worked in housekeeping at the Homewood Suites, Breinigsville, and was also a machine operator for Cott Beverages, Wyomissing. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Dryville and loved animals, especially cats and dogs, doing puzzles and reading.

Irene is survived by her two sons, Joel S. Stern, Fleetwood and Charles B. Stern, husband of Sarah A. (Allard) Stern, Topton. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Ella, and by her sisters, Faye Kline, wife of Gene Kline, Topton and Carol Kline, Fleetwood.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Reinert.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, Fleetwood. Inurnment will be private in Berks Count Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
