Mrs. Jane (Hockenbury) Dodson

Mrs. Jane (Hockenbury) Dodson, 86, of Northampton, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, PA.

Born May 21, 1938 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Jane was the daughter of the late Sarah (Pickett) and Mahlon Hockenbury. Jane and her husband of 58 years, Carl Dodson, were married in 1966.

Jane worked for several factories in New Jersey, including working as a supervisor at Boonton Molding, Boonton, NJ. She was a graduate of G.A.R. High School, Wilkes-Barre, and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Kreidersville.

Jane was an avid reader and enjoyed working in her yard, spending time at the library and going the YMCA in Northampton.

In addition to her husband, Carl, Jane is survived by her daughter, Sarah A. (Dodson) Vida, wife of Ray Roller, Wharton, New Jersey, her sister, Sarah DeHaut, wife of William DeHaut, Wilkes-Barre, PA, and by many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret, Harold, Mahlon Jr., Frederick, Roy, George, William, Richard, Robert and James.

Services for Jane will be held privately by her family.
