Mrs. Jane E. (Stevenson) Woodland, 92, of Wyomissing, passed away on Wednesday evening, September 6, 2017 at Columbia Cottages.
Born December 23, 1924 in Philadelphia, Jane was the daughter of the late William and Edna (Bath) Stevenson. Her husband of 70 years, Lewis B. Woodland, passed away on January 23, 2016.
Jane was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a Sunday School teacher and had been a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, knitting and even hosted "Knitting with Jane" for years at Keystone Villa, Fleetwood. Jane was a graduate of Spring City High School.
Jane is survived by her sons, Robert L. Woodland, husband of Diane M. (Duda) Woodland, Reading, and Glenn F. Woodland, husband of Linda (Ewing) Woodland, Boyertown. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kim, Jason, Jennifer, Sara, Jay, Amanda, Edward, Michael and Meredith, her 3 great grandchildren, her daughter-in-law, Rosemary Woodland, Pottstown and her sisters, Nancy Woolrich and Edna Mae Dohenny.
Along with her parents and husband, Lewis, Jane was preceded in death by her son, Edward C. Woodland and several brothers and sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held for Jane on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. A visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Burial will be at St. Mathew's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Chester Springs, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jane's memory to Mary's Shelter, 736 Upland Ave, Reading, PA 19607.
