Jeannette F. Reistroffer

Jeannette F. (Filbert) Reistroffer, 81, of Fleetwood, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 after a brief stay at Spruce Manor and Rehabilitation Center, West Reading, PA.

Born April 13, 1941 in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Miriam (Gring) and LeRoy Filbert Sr. She and her longtime companion, Gilbert C. "Bud" Rice, have been together for 44 years.

Jeannette worked for many years as a shoe specialist at Boscov's and J.C. Penney. She also was the longtime manager of the Valley View Trailer Parks in Fleetwood, Tuckerton and Wernersville.

Jeannette attended Reading High School and worshipped at Glad Tidings Church in Kutztown and West Lawn. She was known for her love of animals, rescuing her fair share of them, and also loved deep sea fishing, gardening and spending time at her pond.

Surviving in addition to her companion, Bud, are her three daughters, Shelley L. (Reistroffer) McKinnon, wife of Michael McKinnon, Missouri City, TX, Stacey L. Reistroffer, Temple, and Sharon L. (Reistroffer) Fuhrmann, wife of J. Charles Schmidtke, Oley. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christian Reistroffer, fiancé of Courtney Johnson, Phillip McKinnon, husband of Felicia McKinnon, Matthew McKinnon, Allison McKinnon, fiancée of Luke Browne, and Brooke Fuhrmann, and by her great-grandchildren, Carter and Ember.

Along with her parents, Jeannette was preceded in death by her grandson, Brandon T. Fuhrmann, and her siblings, LeRoy Filbert Jr., Marian Mancini and Shirley Frick.

Services for Jeannette will be held privately by her family.
