John V. Hoppe

John V. Hoppe Jr., 64, of Reading, passed away on Saturday evening, September 2, 2017 at his home.

Born September 22, 1952 in West Reading, he was the son of the late John V. and Margaret Ann (Kellum) Hoppe Sr.

John spent many years painting.  He was a 1971 graduate of Wyomissing High School and attended Nathaniel Hawthorne College, Antrim, New Hampshire.  John loved doing leatherwork and making belts.  He also truly enjoyed fishing.

John is survived by his sister, Suzanne C. (Mohn) Noll, wife of Donald I. Noll, Doylestown and his brothers, Peter W. Mohn, husband of Diane S. (Kubicek) Mohn, Leawood, Kansas and Thomas C. Hoppe, husband of Glenda M. (Smith) Hoppe, Kenhorst.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Greta, Lisa, Jaqueline, Michelle, Suzanne, Peter, Jami and David and many cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for John on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 am in the fellowship hall of Immanuel United Church of Christ, 99 South Waverly St., Shillington, PA.  Casual attire, especially Hawaiian shirts, is preferred!!!
