Jonathan J. Jamison, 44, of Blandon, passed away on Wed, August 5, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born June 25, 1971 at Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX, he was the son of Janet L. (Weed) and Rodney J. Jamison, Reading. He and his wife, Shena L. (Colamarino) Jamison, celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary on Sept. 9, 2014.
Jon was employed for over 23 years at East Penn Manufacturing Co, Inc., Lyons. His last position was as a foreman in the S1 plant. He was a 1989 graduate of Reading High School and attended Penn State University, Berks Campus for computer science.
Jon was a member of St. Thomas UCC, Reading and a huge Penn State fan. He enjoyed painting cars, computers, loved riding his motorcycle and was featured in Sports Illustrated in 1985 when he was the National Marbles Champion.
In addition to his wife and parents, Jon is survived by his three children, Alexis A. Jamison, Kane J. Jamison and Hunter J. Jamison, all at home. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Jaelyn Marie Jamison, his sister, Rachelle L. (Jamison) Sheidy, Shillington and his paternal grandmother, Elaine A. (Shappell) Jamison, Wernersville.
Jon was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Evelyn E. (Dattner) Smith, his maternal grandfather, Robert J. Weed Sr. and his paternal grandfather, Joel J. Jamison.
A Memorial Service for Jon will be held on Monday, Aug. 10, 2015 at 11 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, PA with the Rev. Barry L. Moyer of Caring Hospice, officiating. Visitations will be held on Sunday, Aug. 9, from 6 to 9 pm and again on Monday, Aug. 10 from 9 to 11 am at the funeral home. Jon's wish was that all of you would dress comfortably and come as you are.
In keeping with Jon's wishes, a party will be held to celebrate his life on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 2 pm at the family home. Again, please dress comfortably and come as you are.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jon's memory to Penn State Hershey Brain Cancer Research, c/o Office of University Development, PO Box 852, Hershey, PA 17033.
