Karl J. Schemberg Sr., 65, of Exeter Twp, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Tower Health, Reading, Hospital, West Reading, PA.
Born June 17, 1956 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William and Freda (Breitmair) Schemberg. He and his wife of 47 years, Christina M. (Boni) Schemberg, were married in Feasterville, PA on August 24, 1974.
Karl worked for years building rail cars at Budd Co., Red Lion Plant. He also worked for several bicycle shops as well as operating his own. Karl was a 1974 graduate of Neshaminy High School, Langhorne and enjoyed his doggies, working on cars, NHRA drag racing, WWE wrestling, jazz music, the Reading Phillies and was an all around handyman. Most of all, Karl loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to the love of his life, Christina, Karl is survived by his four children, Karl J. Schemberg, Jr., husband of Jennifer L. (Seaman) Schemberg, Mohrsville, Dana M. Schemberg, Downingtown, Kimberly A. (Schemberg) Engler, wife of Colin E. Engler, Shillington, and Stephen J. Schemberg, husband of Destiny M. (Gonzalez) Schemberg, Reading. He is also survived by his grandchildren, JessaLyn, Kolby, Kinsley, Connor and Emme and by his faithful doggies, Sunny and Tanner.
Along with his parents, Karl was preceded in death by his sister, Freda Klinger and his brother, William Schemberg.
Services for Karl will be held privately.
