Kevin W. Duchala

Kevin W. Duchala, 62, of Blandon, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township, PA.

Born January 21, 1956 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of Janet (Swanson) Duchala, Allentown, and the late Stephen Duchala. He and his wife, A. Michele (Kruczek) Duchala, were married on August 6, 2009 in Hamburg.

Kevin was a production manager for Mack Trucks, Macungie, for 20 years. He had also worked at Air Products, Allentown as a production supervisor and was currently working at Esbenshade's Garden Center, Fleetwood.

Kevin served his country honorably and faithfully in the United States Air Force. He was a 1973 graduate of Dieruff High School, Allentown and went on to serve in the Air Force from 1973 to 1977.

Kevin was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved his Harley Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed gardening and making many treats for his family as an amateur chef.

Surviving in addition to his mother, Janet and his wife, Michele, are his children, Angela C. (Duchala) Smolenyak, wife of Timothy A. Smolenyak, Laurys Station, PA, Andrew S. Duchala, husband of Jacquelyn A. Duchala, Largo, FL, Paul A. Gingerich, Alexandria, VA, Joshua A. Gingerich, Kutztown, PA, and Erin A. Gingerich, Muhlenberg Twp.

Kevin is also survived by his grandchildren, Kaitlyn A. Hudak, Shane K. Duchala, and Vince A. Gingerich, his great granddaughter, Aria V. Ouellette and his siblings, Michael Duchala, husband of Deborah Duchala, Allentown, Cynthia Duchala, wife of Eldon Walker, University Heights, Ohio, Judith Kilareski, wife of Kenneth Kilareski, Allentown and Lisa Druckenmiller, wife of Alan Druckenmiller, Northampton.

A visitation for Kevin will be held on Monday evening, February 5, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, PA.

Private funeral services with military honors will be held later.
