Laurence J. D'Amico, 69, of Blandon, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Penn State Health, St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.
Born September 22, 1946 in Germantown, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph D. and Domenica M. (Posimo) D'Amico. He was the devoted husband of Kathleen H. (Bleicher) D'Amico whom he married on May 11, 1968 in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Norristown. They celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary last May.
Laurence was a finance clerk for the United States Postal Service, North Wales, PA for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown and a 1964 graduate of Germantown High School, Philadelphia. He enjoyed reading, birds and was an avid sports fan, especially of the Philadelphia Flyers.
Laurence served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife, Kathleen, he is survived by his two daughters, Dina M. D'Amico, Harleysville, PA and Kathleen A. (D'Amico) George, wife of Michael D. George, N. Attleboro, MA., his granddaughters Abigail M. George and Amanda V. George and by his brothers, Joseph D. D'Amico, Atco, NJ and Peter J. DiAmico, husband of the late Joan C. (Gribbin) DiAmico, Holland, PA.
Funeral Services will be held at a later date and will be announced at that time. Contributions may be made in Laurence's memory to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
