Linda J. Rhoads

Linda J. (Ottensmeyer) Rhoads, 56, of Allentown, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016.

Born February 15, 1959 in Vincennes, IN, she was the daughter of Agnes (Vieck) Ottensmeyer, Vincennes, and the late Edward J. Ottensmeyer, Jr..

Linda was a human resources recruiter for HCR Manor Care for over 12 years. She had also worked in the human resources department at The Lutheran Home of Topton and at Penn State Health, St. Joseph Medical Center, where she had started her career in human resources and volunteer services.

Linda enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends, especially her precious grandchildren whom she loved taking on trips to the park and library.

In addition to her mother, Linda is survived by her children, Matthew E. Sievers, husband of Maria (Diaz-Payero) Sievers, Absecon, NJ, Kathryn A. (Sievers) Hull, wife of Benjamin J. Hull, LeClaire, IA and Devon C. Rhoads, West Chester, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Javier Nunez and Kyra Nunez, Ava Sievers and Jacob Sievers, her siblings, Edward J. Ottensmeyer, III, husband of Anne Donnellon, Mattapoisett, MA, Michael G. Ottensmeyer, husband of Joy Ottensmeyer, Palmetto, GA, Mary J. Catt, wife of Doug Catt, Danville, IN, Kathleen M. Nelson, wife of Steve Nelson, Ft. Branch, IN, Patrick J. Ottensmeyer and by her 8 nieces and 3 nephews.

A memorial service will be held for Linda on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 3 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, PA with Rev. Thomas Kuller, S.J. officiating. A visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 3 pm at the funeral home.

A MEMORIAL MASS WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2016 AT 3 PM AT SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2004 NORTH SECOND STREET, VINCENNES, INDIANA WITH FATHER DAVE FLECK AS CELEBRANT. A VISITATION WILL BE HELD SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2016 FROM 2 TO 3 PM AT SACRED HEART CHURCH. CONTRIBUTIONS MAY BE MADE TO THE DONOR'S CHARITY OF CHOICE.
