Lloyd E. Weller Sr.

Lloyd E. Weller Sr., 85, of District Township, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, PA.

Born March 7, 1935 in Longswamp Township, he was the son of the late Emanuel G. and Esther L. (Alexander) Weller. His wife of 61 years, Minnie K. (Derr) Weller, passed away on May 26, 2015.

Lloyd worked for 38 years for Caloric on the paint line. He also worked as a driver for Bachman Pretzels, Solt’s Saw Mill and Longacres Dairy and as a tow motor operator at Sunsweet Growers, Fleetwood. In addition to all of his other positions, Lloyd spent over 50 years working for Crossley Brothers Farm, Hereford Township.

Lloyd was a member of Huff’s Union Church and loved hunting and mowing his grass.

Lloyd is survived by his four children, Katherine D. (Weller) Miller, wife of David E. Miller Sr., Mertztown, Barbara A. (Weller) Fox, wife of Richard P. Fox, Alburtis, Lloyd E. Weller Jr., husband of Melissa A. (Schmoyer) Weller, Mertztown, and Wendy M. (Weller) Schollenberger, wife of Kevin B. Schollenberger, Boyertown. He is also survived by his grandchildren, David E. Miller Jr., husband of Kimberly (Fegley) Miller, Kutztown, Crissy (Roth) Miller, widow of Jonathan L. Miller, Alburtis, Adam C. Miller, husband of Melanie (Solt) Miller, Mertztown, Jeremy L. Fox, husband of Adrianne (Mohr) Fox, Macungie, Jason A. Fox, husband of Jacqueline (Collette) Fox, Macungie, Katie A. (Fox) De Luca, wife of Adam De Luca, Upper Gwynedd, Eric L. Weller, husband of Gina (Oberto) Weller, Mertztown, Alex J. Schollenberger, Boyertown and Tyler J. Schollenberger, Boyertown, by his great-grandchildren, Eliza, Madelynn, Wyatt, Kinsley, Clay, Mikayla, Aaron, Benjamin, Logan, Emma, Emily, Ella and Levi and by his brothers, Carl Weller, Ralph Weller, Paul and Barbara Weller, Russell and Malveen Weller and William and Dorothy Weller.

Along with his wife, Minnie, his parents and his grandson, Jonathan, Lloyd was preceded in death by his siblings, Warren Weller, Arlene Hess, Herbert Weller and Erma Hess.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held for Lloyd on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:00 am at Huff’s Church Cemetery, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis, PA with Rev. Dr. Jennifer Bannerman officiating.

Per current CDC Guidelines, those attending the services are asked to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
