Mabel A. (Johnson) Guldin

November 10, 1930 — May 29, 2019

Mrs. Mabel A. (Johnson) Guldin, 88, of Bern Township, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Berks Heim.

Born November 10, 1930 in Red Hill, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Annie (Giles) Johnson. Her husband of 43 years whom she married on June 21, 1945, Donald E. Guldin, passed away in May 1989.

Mabel worked for 15 years as a sewer for Royal Manufacturing Co, both in Alburtis and Mertztown. She also worked as a cook at Baker’s Restaurant in Jacksonville, NC.

Mabel was a member of Zion Union Church, Maxatawny Township and enjoyed painting, drawing, guitar, yodeling, singing, reading and doing needlepoint.

Mabel is survived by her children, Donald E. Guldin, Jr., husband of Debra Guldin, Jacksonville, NC, Mabel A. Vermuelin, wife of John Vermuelin, Macungie, Shirley L. Lindtner, wife of Joseph Lindtner, Harrington, DE, Melaine D. Hertzog, Fleetwood, John T. Guldin, husband of Penny Guldin, Fleetwood and Cindy L.S. Guldin, wife of Stephen Mazur, St. Augustine, FL. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, her brothers, Marvin Johnson, Gilbertsville and Walter Johnson, husband of Mabel Johnson, Seasholtzville and by her sister, Chirlin Wittman, Topton.

Along with her parents and husband, Mabel was preceded in death by her daughter, Loraine D. Guldin, twin sons in infancy and her brother, Carl Johnson.

Private Services will be held for Mabel. Burial will take place in Oley Cemetery, Spangsville.
