Madeline G. (Wotring) Lantz, 89, of Topton, passed away on Saturday evening, September 10, 2016 at Keystone Villa at Fleetwood, Maidencreek Twp, PA.
Born January 17, 1927 in Egypt, PA, Madeline was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Alice (Miller) Wotring. Her husband of 58 years, Warren K. Lantz, passed away on July 31, 2007.
Madeline worked at the Lutheran Home at Topton in the kitchen and also was a seamer at the Alburtis Hosiery Mill. She was a member of St. Peter's UCC, Topton and was active with The Minstrels. She was a longtime volunteer with the Topton Municipal Pool Association and truly enjoyed playing cards and reading. Madeline had attended the Topton School.
Madeline is survived by her three daughters, Nancy M. (Wotring) Adams, wife of Ernie D. Adams, Pottstown, Mary A. (Lantz) Beberman, wife of Harvey J. Beberman, Delray Beach, FL and Jane L. Lantz, wife of James R. Springer, Topton. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kenneth E. Adams, Douglassville and Randal "Duke" Adams, Harrisburg and her great grandsons, Zachary K. Adams, Joshua D. Adams and Samuel B. Adams, all of Birdsboro.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Madeline was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Miriam Fisher, Catherine Rumble, Charles Wotring and Frances Rohrbach.
Graveside services for Madeline will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016 at 11:00 am at Topton Union Cemetery, 6 N. Callowhill St, Topton with Rev. Barry L. Moyer, Chaplain of Caring Hospice, officiating. Contributions in Madeline's memory may be made to the American Legion, Ray A. Master Post 217, 133 Centre Ave, Topton, PA 19562.
