Margaret B. "Peggy" Miller, 71, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Tower Health, Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.
Born December 30, 1950 in Dallas, PA, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Carol (Birtley) Bayliss. She and her husband of 38 years, Richard C. Miller, were married on November 15, 1983.
Peggy was a 1968 graduate of Dallas High School and went on to receive her bachelor's degree in accounting from Albright College in 1982. She made an impact in the community as a local Girl Scout Leader in Reading in the 1970s. She pursued a career in accounting, working for General Battery, Bayliss Oldsmobile and Saturn of Reading before transitioning to part-time to raise her children. Peggy was a member of Becker's St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Molltown.
In her free time, Peggy was a talented cross-stitcher, avid reader, and antiquing enthusiast. From cats to goats to tortoises, Peggy also deeply loved animals, being surrounded by her many four-legged friends.
In addition to her husband, Richard, Peggy is survived by her two sons, Steven R. Miller, who is serving in the United States Navy, and Matthew T. Miller, fiancé of Jennifer N. Haebel of Malvern. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Bayliss, husband of Miriam Bayliss, Exeter, and by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Peggy will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 10:30 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Road, Fleetwood. Burial will follow in Becker's St. Peter's Cemetery, Molltown. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 am to 10:30 am at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
