Mrs. Marilyn F. (Schoedler) Lockhart

Mrs. Marilyn F. (Schoedler) Lockhart, 93, of Wernersville, passed away early Sunday morning, March 2, 2025, at her home.

Born September 12, 1931 in Fleetwood, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Lester and Effie (Keim) Schoedler. Her husband of 66 years, Benjamin F. Lockhart, passed away on March 5, 2017.

Marilyn was a 1949 graduate of Fleetwood Area High School. She worked as a button holer at Fleetwood Shirt Factory, a press operator at Ennis Manufacturing, and a receptionist in the office of Dr. Longanecker.

Marilyn was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical United Methodist Church, Fleetwood, and enjoyed her time at Phoebe Berks where she sang in the choir and was a member of the auxiliary. She enjoyed doing diamond dots and puzzles, music and playing piano.

Marilyn is survived by her two daughters, Melanie E. (Lockhart) Bendinsky, wife of Charles L. Bendinsky, Williamsburg, VA, and Patricia A. Lockhart, Sinking Spring, her grandchildren, Gregory, Danielle, Ryan, Ian, Laura, and Christopher, her great-grandchildren, Darian, Zachary, R.J., Connor, Molly, Indus, Ara, Athena, Hayes, her great-great-grandchildren, Aiden and Mason, her sisters, Lucille (Schoedler) Weidner, widow of Richard Weidner, Wyomissing, and Cynthia L. (Schoedler) Borrell, widow of Samuel G. Borrell, Fleetwood, and by many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Marilyn will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 11:00 am at Phoebe Berks Chapel, 1 Reading Drive, Wernersville. Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:00 am in the Chapel.
