Martha L. Lang

Martha Jayne (Lambing) Lang, 85, of Kutztown, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, after a brief illness.

Born October 30, 1931 in Wilkinsburg, PA, Martha was the daughter of the late Albert F. and Ellen M. (McCulley) Lambing. She and her husband, Howard P. Lang, were married on August 15, 1964 in Heinz Chapel, Pittsburgh, PA.

Martha was an elementary school teacher for the South Orange-Maplewood School District, Maplewood, NJ and also taught elementary school for two years in Japan. Martha attended Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, Emmaus. She was a graduate of Wilkinsburg High School, Slippery Rock University and the University of Pittsburgh.

Along with her husband, Howard, Martha is survived by her two sons, Peter H. Lang, husband of Daphne A. (Peters) Lang, Kutztown and Albert L. Lang, husband of Lucinda A. (Ellenburg) Lang, Jefferson City, TN. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Harper, Maggie, Sarah, Pierson, Gracie Li, Cargan and Moriah and a sister, Mary Ellen (Lambing) McCleary, Lancaster.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her brother, Albert F. Lambing Jr.

Funeral Services for Martha will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Road, Fleetwood, PA. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
