Max L. Curtis, 76, of Blandon, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Tower Health, Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.
Born July 19, 1945 in Delaware, OH, he was the son of the late Walter M. and Nettie L. (Lewis) Curtis.
Max served his country honorably and faithfully as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force in Vietnam.
Max worked for the United States Postal Service for many years. He was a mail sorter and also worked at the front desk at the 5th Street location in Reading. Max was a graduate of Rutherford B. Hayes High School, Delaware, OH and truly enjoyed game nights, researching his family history and spending time with his family.
Max is survived by his two daughters, Leann S. Curtis, Grants Pass, Oregon, and Jill M. (Curtis) Stevenson, wife of Luis R. Stevenson, Wyomissing. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nathan M. Wolfskill, Martin N. Wolfskill, husband of Mandy Wolfskill, Emily A. (Wolfskill) Row, wife of Lucas Row, Zachary S. Martin and his companion Kimmie Matthews, Toby M. Curtis, Ashley M. Reinstein, Kenneth D. Reinstein, Jr., and Bryan H.B. Kline, his great-grandchildren, Sadie, Tyrion, River, Sophia, Gibson, Bailey, Riley and Eleanor, and by his brother, Richard Curtis, Delaware, OH.
Along with his parents, Max was preceded in death by his brothers, Frederick, George, Eddie, Tyrone and John and by his former wife, Ellen Bitting.
Funeral Services for Max with Military Honors provided by the Ray A. Master, Post, 217, American Legion Honor Guard, will begin on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. A viewing will be held for Max on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
Burial for Max will take place on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Oak Grove Cemetery, Delaware, Ohio.
