Patricia M. Lewis

Patricia M. (Sweeney) Lewis, 86, of Mertztown, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Kutztown Manor, Kutztown, PA.

Born February 21, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Edith (Adams) Sweeney. Her husband of 39 years, Robert W. Lewis Sr., passed away on January 21, 1990.

Patricia was a longtime member of St. Patrick Church, Belvidere, New Jersey. She was very active in the church and also enjoyed crocheting, gardening and baking.

Patricia is survived by her five children, Robert W. Lewis, Jr., husband of Barbara Lewis, New Braunfels, Texas, Patricia M. (Lewis) Holtz, wife of Dennis J. Holtz, Mertztown, James J. Lewis, husband of Palma Lewis, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, William C. Lewis, Columbia, NJ and Nancy A. Lewis-Rivera, wife of John Rivera-Resto, Lakewood, Ohio. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Virginia, Donny, Phillip, Andy and Jennifer, her great grandchildren, Tessa and Alex and her brother, James Sweeney, Plainview, New York.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Patricia at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Allentown, with Rev. Monsignor John P. Murphy as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Belvidere, New Jersey.
