Pauline J. "Polly" Ramsey

Pauline J. "Polly" (Ulrich) Ramsey, 75, of Pennside, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family.

Born August 25, 1941 in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Norman Ulrich and Elizabeth (Rader) Ulrich Ash. Her husband of 40 years, Martin G. Ramsey, passed away on December 26, 2010.

Polly was a Registered Nurse for over 27 years at Reading Hospital. She was the assistant manager on third shift on the respiratory / renal floor for 24 years. She had also worked as an RN at the Children's Clinic of Wyomissing for 6 years.

Polly graduated from Wilson High School in 1959 and was a 1962 graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She was a proud member of the Alumni Association for the Reading Hospital School of Nursing and enjoyed reading, gardening and especially doing crossword puzzles.

Polly is survived by her three daughters, Michele L. Feeney, wife of Jerome T. Feeney, Muhlenberg Twp, Elizabeth E. (Ramsey) Bitler, Pennside and Kristin N. Ramsey, fiancAC.e of Eric F. Long, Newmanstown, PA. She is also survived by her grandson, Jesse T. Feeney, Muhlenberg Twp, her granddaughter, Kylie E. (Feeney) Buono, wife of Dylan T. Buono, Philadelphia, her sister, Geraldine M. (Ulrich) Nally and her brother, Harold J. Ash, III, Reading and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen A. (Ulrich) Eschleman.

Shelley, Beth and Kris would like to offer a special thank you to the Heartland Hospice nurses and caregivers, especially Carly and Nadege, who were so helpful and caring while taking care of our Mom.

Memorial Services for Polly will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. A visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
