Philip E. Behm

Philip E. Behm, Sr., 76, of Fleetwood, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday morning, August 12, 2022 at his home.

Born November 10, 1945 in Reading, he was the son of the late Earl and Hilda E. (Rapp) Behm. He and the love of his life, his wife, Dian, were married on June 20, 1970 at Spies Church, Alsace Township.

Phil attended Oley Valley Schools and went on to drive truck for IGA Trucking and Windsor Service Asphalt Trucking. He laid flooring and carpet for over 50 years on his own and for Reading Rug and Ted Smith Flooring. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 429.

Phil always had a Chevy in the driveway that he was working on. Over the last 24 years, he and his wife took their 1956 Chevy Bel Air to car shows, cruises and to the beach twice a year leading to hundreds of awards and trophies and many long-lasting friendships. Everyone knew, if Phil wasn't installing carpet, he was at a car show. Phil also loved hunting, archery, rocket launching, remote control cars, gambling and was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Dian, are his three children, Tracy L. (Behm) Sicher, Kutztown, Philip E. Behm, Jr., husband of Christine J. (Vecolitis) Behm, Auburn, PA and Wendy L. (Behm) Harrison, Newport, PA. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, by his brother, John P. Behm, husband of Gayle Behm, Westfield, PA and by many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his sisters, Grace, Ruth, Martha and Sheila.

Memorial Services for Phil will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
