Richard Rosenberg

Richard Rosenberg, 95, of Bechtelsville, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, PA.

Born March 31, 1928, Richard was the son of the late Mendel and Mary Rosenberg. His wife of 59 years, Shirley A. (Buch) Rosenberg, passed away on September 3, 2019.

Richard served his country honorably and faithfully as a corporal in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Richard spent his career as a press photographer. He worked for the Bethlehem Globe Times, the Philadelphia Bulletin, and the Star Ledger, Newark, New Jersey. He graduated from high school in Philadelphia and from the Philadelphia College of Art. He truly enjoyed golfing and photography.

Richard is survived by his children, Cathy A. (Sperlbaum) Banks, wife of Douglas Banks, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and Michael R. Rosenberg, Roebling, New Jersey. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica Yost, and her husband, Eric, Andrew Temos, and his wife Briana, Chelsea Banks, Michelle Rosenberg, and Savanna Rosenberg, and by his great-grandchildren, Christopher, Meghan, Emma, Andrew, Jacob, Mason, and Brody.

Along with his parents and his wife, Shirley, Richard was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Beatrice Borie, Paul Rosenberg, Edith Sobel, and Samuel Rosenberg.

Services for Richard will be held privately.
