Robert C. Christman, 66, of Blandon, formerly of Rockland Township, passed away suddenly on February 27, 2023 while vacationing in Florida with his wife, Karen L. (Cassidy) Christman.
Bobby was born in Reading, PA to Leonard L. Christman Sr, Oley, and the late Carol (Krick) Christman, on March 18, 1956. He graduated from Oley Valley High School in 1974 and received his associates degree in business administration from Penn State University, Berks campus, in 1976.
Four years later, in 1980, he married Karen. Their marriage lasted 42 ½ wonderful years and they were blessed with three children, Adam R. Christman, husband of Jessica L. (Fluck) Christman, Wyomissing, Joshua R. Christman, husband of Courtney E. (Renshaw) Christman, Strasburg, and Sarah K. (Christman) Alleman, wife of Cameron D. Alleman, Mechanicsburg.
They were also blessed with six beautiful grandchildren, Nolan, Delaney, Aiden, Warren, Carter and Ethan, whom Bobby loved being a Pop-Pop to.
Bobby spent his entire career working in the produce industry in one form or another. He started out in a small grocery store in Oley and worked his way up to a produce manager. He then worked as produce merchandiser for several companies. He spent many years at Wetterau, SuperValu and finally retired December 31, 2020 from UNFI.
Bobby loved coaching baseball, basketball and attending as many of his children's tennis matches as time would allow. He also loved working in his yard, especially planting flowers and mulching the beds.
In addition to his wife, father and children, he is also survived by five siblings, Leonard Christman, Jr, husband of Deanna (Rindge) Christman, Marathon, NY, Suzanne Mest, wife of Randel Mest, Boyertown, Carol Kneeream, fiancée of George Broadfoot, Lititz, James Christman, husband of Mary Alice (Atwood) Christman, Oley, and Charles Christman, husband of Mary Beth (Conway) Christman, Muhlenberg Township, as well as many nieces and nephews on both sides of his large, close family.
As close as Bobby was with his family, his most cherished relationship was with His Lord and Savior, in whose arms he now rests.
