Rudolph E. Donnelli

Rudolph E. Donnelli, 78, of Fleetwood, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015 surrounded by his loving family after a long illness.

Born April 12, 1937 in Rockford, IL, he was the son of the late Josephine (Bares) and Joseph Donnelli. He and his wife, Carol J. (Johnson) Donnelli, were married on July 29, 1961 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Grand Forks, ND. The celebrated their 54th anniversary this past July 29th.

Rudolph was a can line mechanic in the can industry for over 45 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown, the American Legion, Bernville, the Knights of Columbus and the Blandon Fire Company for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and painting.

Rudolph served our country honorable for 10 years in the United States Air Force.

In addition to his wife, Carol, Rudolph is survived by his daughters Ann M. Donnelli, Reading and Jill R. Donnelli-Hu, wife of Lun-Pei Hu, Winchester, VA, his son, Mark E. Donnelli, Mertztown, his grandchildren, Anthony R. Sands, Jason D.E. Bressler, Steven M. Stetzler, Kathryn L. Bressler, Jack E. Hu and Elizabeth J. Hu, and by his beloved doggy, Molly.

Along with his parents, Rudolph was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathryn Lynn Donnelli on December 23, 1966, his brothers, Richard, Joseph, Glenn, Patrick, Raymond and Roland and his sisters, Mary, Ruth and Toni.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Rd, Kutztown, with the Rev. Monsignor Walter T. Scheaffer, as celebrant. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. Private interment will take place at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Rudolph's memory to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Rd, Kutztown, PA 19530.
