Ruth A. Glass

Ruth A. (Stoudt) Glass, 87, of Reading, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Tower Health, Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.

Born July 26, 1935, in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late John Stoudt and Ruth R. (Wielandt) Focht.

Ruth worked as a secretary for many years for the Reading School District. She was a 1953 graduate of Reading High School and truly loved her cats, especially Rascal.

Ruth is survived by her two sons, Steven and Jeffrey, her daughter-in-law, Monica Krick, wife of David G. Krick, Blandon, her grandchildren, Andrew M. Glass, Jason A. Glass, Jessica L. Glass, Kristy N. (Glass) Kline, wife of Timothy R. Kline, and Joshua A. Glass, her great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Cullen, Khloe, Tessa, Jillian, Riley and Robert, her brother, John L. Stoudt, husband of Elizabeth A. (Entzminger) Stoudt, Reading, and by her cousins, Jan L. (Appnel) Scott, wife of Glenn I. Scott, Blandon and Susan R. (Scott) Nied, wife of Robert R. Nied, Blandon.

A visitation for Ruth will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. A prayer service will be held at 11:00 am Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at a later date in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth's memory to the St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church Roof Fund, 1018 N. 8th St, Reading, PA 19604.
