Mrs Patricia M. (Lewis) Holtz

Mrs. Patricia M. (Lewis) Holtz, 69, of Mertztown, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday morning, January 18, 2023, at her home.

Born March 2, 1953 in Passaic, New Jersey, Patricia was the daughter of the late Patricia M. (Sweeney) and Robert W. Lewis Sr. She and her husband of 20 years, Dennis J. Holtz, were married in Cape May, New Jersey on March 23, 2002.

Patty worked for many years for Catholic Charities as an assistant for special projects, first in the Diocese of Metuchen, and then in the Diocese of Allentown. She also worked as office manager at Community Action Committee, Bethlehem, PA.

Patty was a 1971 graduate of Warren Hills Regional High School, Washington, NJ, and went on to earn her bachelor's degree in computer science, with a minor in human resources, from the Allentown College of St. Francis DeSales. She was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Belvedere, NJ, and loved doing artwork, painting and crafting.

In addition to her husband, Dennis, Patty is survived by her children, Virginia M. Vergara, fiancee of Miles S. Diehl Jr., Mertztown, Donny J. Reed, husband of Charity Reed, Richmond, VA, and Dr. Phillip A. Reed, husband of Nancy M. King, Kutztown, Heather M. Holtz, Ephrata and Dennis R. Holtz, husband of Melony Holtz, Ephrata. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lindsey, Emily, Sara, Ben, Tessa, Alex, Nash, Willow and Walker, and by her brothers and sisters, Robert W. Lewis, Jr., husband of Barbara Lewis, New Braunfels, Texas, James J. Lewis, husband of Palma Lewis, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, William C. Lewis, Columbia, New Jersey and Nancy A. Lewis-Rivera, wife of John Rivera-Resto, Lakewood, Ohio.

Memorial Services for Patty will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, PA. A visitation will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
