Mrs. Sandra L. (Behm) Beard

Mrs. Sandra L. (Behm) Beard, 83, of Fleetwood, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at her home.

Born April 13, 1941 in Reading, Sandy was the daughter of the late Russell P. and Kathryn L. (Schaeffer) Behm. She and the love of her life, her husband of 63 years, Rodney W. Beard, were married on June 17, 1961 in Maidencreek Church, Blandon.

Sandy worked for over 25 years for Giorgio Foods where she worked in quality control and was an executive secretary. Sandy had also worked for Messer Gas Company and for Paul Frederick Clothing, Fleetwood.

Sandy was a 1959 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and enjoyed reading, watching the Phillies and Hallmark movies and playing games on her phone. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Rodney, Sandy is survived by her two daughters, Lisa M. (Beard) Hilbert, wife of Darryl M. Hilbert, Mertztown, and Stacey L. (Beard) Rudolph, wife of Carl M. Rudolph, Leesport. She is also survived by her sister, Carol (Behm) Lochman, widow of James Lochman, Wyomissing, her sister-in-law, Mary L. (Kramer) Beard, Muhlenberg Twp, her nieces and nephews, Kimberly Lutz, wife of Lloyd Lutz, Kempton, Kerry Fitzgerald, husband of Diane Fitzgerald, Blandon, Cynthia Borelli, wife of Giussepe Borelli, Wyomissing, Wendy L. Beard-Feeg, wife of Duane Feeg, Robesonia, Dale Seiger, Sinking Spring, and Jaime Rowe, widow of Shawn Rowe, Lebanon, her many great-nieces and great-nephews, and by her beloved doggy, Molly.

Along with her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Seiger.

Services for Sandy will be held privately by her family. Burial will take place in Maidencreek Cemetery, Blandon.
