Mrs. Sandra A. (Keim) Hassler, 72, of Mertztown, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at her home.
Born August 2, 1951, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Roy P. and Winifred E. (Fehnel) Keim. Her husband of 47 years, Daryl R. Hassler, died on May 29, 2018.
Sandy's greatest work was as a housewife, raising her girls. She also worked as a waitress at the Kempton Hotel, Whispering Springs, Krumsville Diner and the Summit Bar & Grill, and had worked at Global Access Sales and Marketing.
Sandy was a 1969 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School. She was the life of the party and loved dancing, drinking, and having a good time.
Sandy is survived by her three daughters, Jennifer R. (Hassler) Carl, New Philadelphia, Kimberley A. (Hassler) Miller, wife of Bret A. Miller, Orwigsburg, and Gwendolyn D. Hassler, Mertztown. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Samantha, Kylea, Shane, Meghan and Brooke, her great-grandchildren, Brantley, Casen, Owen and Leah, and by her brother, Donald Keim, Mertztown.
Along with her parents and husband, Sandy was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Terry and Marjorie Moyer, and by her brothers, Clyde Keim and Roy P. Keim, Jr.
A Celebration of Life for Sandy will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion, 133 Centre Ave, Topton.
