Scott D. Kaufman Sr.

Scott D. Kaufman Sr., 81, of Rockland Township, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at his home.

Born September 13, 1942 in Richmond Township, Scott was the son of the late Betty M. (Geible) and Ralph D. Kaufman. His wife of 59 years, Linda M. (Stout) Kaufman, passed away on May 15, 2022.

Scott worked for 42 ½ years for Allentown Portland Cemetery at the Maidencreek Plant. He also worked for 3 years for the William Burndt Farm, Oley, as a mechanic, welder, and heavy equipment operator, and for Eddie Arnold Drilling Contractor, Yellow House, for 4 years.

Scott attended the Oley Valley School District and enjoyed eating, mechanical work and hunting.

Scott is survived by his three children, Dawn H. (Kaufman) Wessner, Temple, Scott D. Kaufman, Jr., Schuylkill Haven, and April L. Kaufman, Dover, DE. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kurtis, Amber, Sean, and Alyssa, his six great-grandchildren, his sister, Carole Jean (Kaufman) Custer, Fleetwood, his brother, Donald R. Kaufman, husband of Cindy Kaufman, Allentown, and his step-brother, Dean Kaufman.

Along with his parents and his wife, Linda, Scott was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua, and his brother, Richard.

Services for Scott will be held privately. Burial will take place in Lauredale Cemetery, Reading.
