Steven N. Himmelreich

Steven N. Himmelreich, 75, of Shoemakersville, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Anville, PA.

Born June 29, 1948 in West Reading, Steven was the son of the late Donna (VanSickle) and Ned L. Himmelreich. He and his wife, Linda A. (Becker) Himmelreich, were married on February 13, 1971 in Pricetown.

Steven served his country honorably and faithfully as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for his actions during the war.

Steven worked for Dana Corporation for six years in the factory. He went on to drive truck for Pinnancle Equipment for 20 years and for Fleetwood Block for 18 years. Steven was a 1968 graduate of Oley Valley High School, and truly enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Linda, are his daughter, Amy L. Himmelreich, wife of Doug L. Keller, Germansville, his granddaughter, Becca A. Schuler, his brothers, Arnold Himmelreich, husband of Karen Himmelreich, Oley, Frederick Himmelreich, Oley, Ned L. Himmelreich, New York, James Himmelreich, Walnuttown, and David Himmelreich, husband of Kim Himmelreich, Temple, his sisters, Bonnie Frost, wife of Jack Frost, Jacksonwald, and Lisa Himmelreich, Temple, and by many nieces and nephews.

A vistation for Steven will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood.

Burial with military honors will take place, privately, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Anville, PA.
