Susan F. Bennett

Susan F. (Werkheiser) Bennett, 70, of West Reading, passed away on Monday evening, September 4, 2017 at Reading Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born September 18, 1946 in Wilson Borough, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Reinhart) Werkheiser.

Susan was an English teacher in the Mount Olive School District, Flanders, NJ, for 25 years. While there, she chaperoned many high school trips abroad to Europe and other countries. She graduated from Phillipsburg High School, Phillipsburg, NJ, in 1964 and from Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ, in 1968 with a bachelor's degree in English. She loved to travel, especially on the school trips abroad, and also enjoyed reading, scrapbooking, playing video games and writing poetry and stories.

Susan is survived by her children, Lauren D. (Pytleski) Daloisio, wife of Joseph Daloisio III, Allendale, NJ, Victor D. Pytleski, husband of Patricia D. (Davies) Pytleski, Blandon and Ryan J. Pytleski, husband of Alicia J. (Sullivan) Pytleski, Roebling, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph IV, Nicholas, Annabella, Travis, Kaitlyn and Garrus, and her brothers and sisters, Barbara Mangan, John Werkheiser, Joan Rudolph and William Werkheiser.

Funeral Services for Susan will be held on Friday evening, September 8, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, PA with the Rev. John Folk officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, at the funeral home.
